Terms & Conditions

Linking People is a registered trademark and trading name of Tailor-Made Tours (Europe) Ltd.

You agree the following Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) will apply when you request Linking People (“LP”) to book any accommodation, excursions, activities, services and /or tours for you.

You is the Lead Passenger when the booking is for multiple passengers.

General

  1. It is your responsibility to check that the details in the programme from LP are those that you requested and to advise them immediately if any corrections are required.

  2. By agreeing to these T&Cs you confirm your acceptance of the programme sent to you by LP and agree that LP may book any of the accommodation, excursions, activities, services and/or tours detailed to you in the programme.

  3. When you book on-line or by telephone a contract will come into effect as soon as you have booked. For details of your rights to cancel please refer to the below clause titled Cancellation.

  4. You are responsible for all costs, expenses or charges arising from any requests made by you and which are subsequently incurred by LP (subject to the Clauses below).

  5. Payment for all services booked through LP must be paid direct to LP.

  6. It is your responsibility to check regarding immigration formalities and to ensure that you and any passengers travelling with you hold a valid passport or visitors identity card for a stay of less than three months.

  7. LP advises you to purchase appropriate travel insurance.

 

Payment Terms

  1. A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total costs detailed in the programme (or as agreed with LP) will payable upon receiving written confirmation no later than 3 months prior to the arrival date, subject to any additional terms of LP’s supplier which requires immediate payment/non-refundable terms etc.

  2. If you confirm your acceptance of the programme at any time less than 3 months before your arrival date a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total costs detailed in the programme (or as agreed with LP) will be due and payable within 2 weeks of the confirmation.

  3. The balance of the total costs detailed in the proposed programme will be due and payable by you no later than 6 weeks before your arrival date.

  4. Failure to make payment on any of the above specified dates may lead to LP cancelling all or part of your programme.

  5.  LP may alter the price of your programme in certain circumstances. LP will only increase the price to the extent that the cost is increased due to rises in the rates of value added tax or other taxes (including fuel duty) or fees chargeable for services such as Euro Tunnel, embarkation, disembarkation fees at ports or that the cost increases as a direct result of exchange rate fluctuations. LP will try to notify you of any increases in price before the date of your programme. You agree that you will pay a final invoice from LP detailing any reasonable and directly attributable additional costs incurred during the programme within 2 weeks of the date of the invoice.

  6. Certain suppliers and third parties involved in your programme may require deposits prior to your arrival date. LP will advise you of the amount of deposit required and the date for payment. If payment is not made when requested by LP then you acknowledge there is a risk these services will not be available

  7. Special services (e.g. entrance to events) will not be obtained without full prior payment in advance from you, such payment being non-refundable in the event of cancellation. 

  8. All other services for individual bookings are payable in full in advance not less than 21 days before arrival. 

  9.  All payments are to be made in UK Pounds Sterling only.

  1. Please ensure our invoice number is used as the reference on all payments.

  2. Payments are also accepted by credit and debit card on LP’s website.

  3. Interest on overdue accounts will be charged at 3% per annum above HSBC Bank Plc’s base rate.

  4. You will be liable for all costs and expenses incurred in recovering any outstanding payments.

  5. Government Value Added Tax is included at the current rate of 20%, final invoices will reflect any variation to the level of this tax.

Cancellation

  1. If you cancel of any or part of your bookings cancellation fees will apply by at the following rates based on the total value for each person cancelled:

 

       90 days or no less than 30 days before arrival           30 %

       29 days or no less than 15 days before arrival            75 %

       14 days or less before arrival                                           100 %

      

   2. The cancellation charges above may be a higher percentage depending on individual terms of the hotels, venues and suppliers detailed in your programme. You acknowledge that additional cancellation charges may be incurred by LP and you shall also be liable for these. 

 

Liability:

  1. LP accepts no liability for any passenger travelling without proper documentation.

  2. LP accept no liability for luggage, luggage is brought at the owners’ own risk.

  3. LP do not accept any liability for loss or damage in respect of cash, currency, credit cards, passports, jewellery, mobile phones, cameras, other electronic equipment or personal items.

  4. LP do not accept liability for any loss or damage caused to you due to or arising from any acts of omission by third parties.

  5. LP do not accept any liability for any indirect or consequential loss or damage that you may suffer due to or arising from the negligence of LP or its servants, agents or sub-contractors.  

  6. LP reserves the right to alter or amend services and itineraries in any way and for whatever reason or to vary hotel accommodation.  In this latter case, alternative accommodation or equivalent standard will be obtained wherever possible.  In the event of this not being possible, acceptance by you of the alternative accommodation offered will impose no liability on LP. 

  7. These terms and conditions shall be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the law of England and Wales to the jurisdiction of which the parties hereto submit.


 

Force Majeure

LP do not accept any liability for any bookings that have to be cancelled or amended due to circumstances beyond its control including but not exhaustive strikes, accidents, disruption to services, acts of war or terrorism, natural disasters including adverse weather conditions, pandemics etc
